I am a fan of Bohemian FC in Ireland and will be over in Stuttgart for the Ireland game. I see you have a game on Friday and am interested in going to it but have no iinformation on it and need help. If anyone can help with my questions that would be great.

Is the game on Friday?
What time is it at?
How much are tickets?
How far is the stadium from Stuttgart city centre?
How can I get there?
What stand are the Blaue Boys in?

What time is it at? --------> 19.00 (7 PM)
How much are tickets? ----------> 8 € (standing) 22 € (seats)
How far is the stadium from Stuttgart city centre? -------> ~ 7,5 km (Schlossplatz -> Waldau)
How can I get there? ---------> U7 from "Schlossplatz" or "Hauptbahnhof" to destination "Ostfildern" leave at station "Waldau- Gazi-Stadion"


And call all your friends to come with you ;-) Would be nice to have some "special guests" from Ireland. And buy your Tickets at the Counters 3 and 4 for "Block B" ;-)

Is it hard to get to? -----------> you cant fail, its just a few steps away from station
How long will it take to get there? -----------> about 10 minutes with U7
Is the U7 a tram or bus?And how much will it cost? ----------> U7 is a Subway (Underground) and will cost 1,80/person for the way back to the city after the match you can use your Ticket from the match
Will it be possible to get back to Stuttgart city centre? ------------> yes, no problem. for free (with your ticket) and in 10 minutes
Is Block B where the Ultras are? and is that standing? ------> yes and yes ;-)

What is this about? Is it meant as an insult of the Maze prison and the troubles in Northern Ireland or is there a dislike of Catholics amongst Kicker fans? If there is I shall not be attending this match as I am fully agaisnt any form of racism. It may be just someone messing and don't worry I can take a joke and I apologise for the reaction above if that is the case.

As for Irish fans, I don't think many will go to your match as they only like the best of the best football and only have eyes for the English premiership. Most don't even support any Irish clubs.

Der Katholiken-Witz war allerdings wirklich nicht so prickelnd (der mit der IRA ebenfalls). Um so etwas wie Ironie in einer Fremdsprache transportieren zu können, sollte man selbige schon perfekt beherrschen. Ansonsten geht das nach hinten los.
Obwohl ich selbst ganz passabel Englisch kann und auch etliche Monate auf der Insel gelebt habe, traue ich mir das nur sehr bedingt zu.

Die Kickers haben nun wirklich selten internationale Gäste. Umso zuvorkommender sollte man sie behandeln!

You can be sure that there are no religious prejudices between catholics and protestants in Germany. Your religion doesn´t matter in daily life, e.g. when visiting a football stadium.

One more hint: The stadium is next to the "Fernsehturm" (television tower). So it should be no problem to find it.

situationsbedingt und auf irische verhältnisse bezogen finde ich die jokes auch nicht wirklich prickelnd.. aber so sind sie halt, die ollen spalter: kein geschichtsbefinden, keine ehre, keinen stolz, keine treue, keinen glauben!

We hope you and the other Irish Fans have enjoyed the evening in the onliest football stadium of Stuttgart. If you are in Stuttgart till next week, come on Saturday, 9 Sept, 15.30 Uhr, again to the Stuttgarter Kickers when they play against the Hamburger SV from the 1st league in Pokal.

Thanks to all the Irish folks in the B-Stand. Your singing was great, especially "You'll never walk alone". I hope, we'll sing this song again at the next matches in Waldau Stadium.

Well, the result was actually better than the match was, but I hope you had a good time.

Als ich nach dem Spiel am Schlossplatz ankam, standen da einige hundert Iren und haben Mörderstimmung gemacht. Das war richtig geil.

Zu Tacheles möchte ich nur sagen, dass ich seiner Äußerungen wirklich allerunterste Schublade finde. Jeder blamiert sich so gut er kann.

TACHELES...sowas gehört sich nicht...genauso diese elendigen H****sohn Rufe und sonstige Beleidigungen sowie das ständige rumpöbeln und Bierverschütten...WAS SOLL DAS? Muss sowas im Stadion sein? ICH DENKE JA...

Nur mal zur Klarstellung: Ich habe hier keinen beleidigt !!! Habe auch keine Ahnung, was das mit Bier verschütten, etc. soll...

Zur Klarstellung und endgültigen Positionierung: Das mit dem Katholiken und Protestanten-Gelaber ist meist ein Runninggag zwischen den Katholiken Martin und [Tobi] und den Protestanten Killer und mir. Ich nehme das nicht mal halb so Ernst, wie manche das hier vermuten.
Und zu den Iren sei erwähnt, dass ich mich da durchaus auf eigene Erlebnisse beziehen kann: War nämlich anno ´96 zum Schulaustausch in Nordirland. Und glaubt mir, unsere Ausflüge nach Dublin waren nicht gerade lustig. Ich habe durchaus erlebt, welch hässliche Fratze der Hass dort unten hat und kann mich daher einfach nicht dem Hype der hier um die "tollen Iren gemacht wird, anschließen !! Das mein Gefrozel hier dermaßen negativ gesehen wird, beschämt mich ja selber schon !!

So, ich denke damit können wir auch dieses Kapitel beenden, oder ?!

Ich finde ja Eure - offensichtlich durch Neid und tiefe Minderwertigkeitsgefühle [oder?] - verursachten Anmerkungen zum VfB einfach drollig und zum Schmunzeln! :wink:

Und einige von Euch sind ja zur Stunde sogar im Daimlerstadion um unsere Nationalmannschaft (mit zwei VfB-Spielern [sic!]) anzufeuern! Und wetten, dass Ihr Euch über den dritten WM-Platz im Daimlerstadion genauso gefreut habt, wie der Rest der Republik? Und genauso begeistert "Stuttgart ist viel schöner als Berlin" gesungen habt? :wink:

P.S.: bin übrigens kein halber, sondern ein 100%iger VfB-Fan. Und eines schafft Ihr nie: mir meine - dennoch seit frühester Kindheit vorhandenen - Sympathien für die Stuttgarter Kickers kaputt zu machen :wink:

Dann zeig doch das mal hier ein bißchen mehr im Forum. V**-Sympathien hingegen kannst Du anderswo bekunden, dazu ist dieses Forum -meines Erachtens- nicht da.

und was davon hat mit den Lampen zu tun???? Ich bin Stuttgarter, blauer Stuttgarter und Deutscher. Und ja, Stuttgart ist viel schöner als Berlin. Aber eben Stuttgart und nicht BC.
Ich bin bei internationalen Wettbewerben auch für die Bayern oder falls die Roten es irgendwann mal wieder schaffen sogar für die, auch wenn es schwer fällt. Da geht es dann um Deutschland und die UEFA-Wertung.
Also nochmal - was hat das mit denen vom Neckar zu tun?
