Thank you

First I do apologise to the administrators on here for starting a new thread but the other one is closed and I had to tell you all about my new team Kickers :P

My flight was late and I had a bit of trouble getting into the ground (I don't know why but we weren't being allowed in as I have no German) I got in eventuelly and went to my friends in Block F. I wanted to go into block B but they were comfortable there so we stayed there. The stadium is great. It has everything in it and is a very neat small stadium. There was a very big crowd, very suprising for a 3rd division match, to me anyway. They said around 4000 but I think it was much more, about 6000-7000. The Blue Bombers were very loud and were lots of them. It looked great when everybody started jumping up and down. The football was of a very high standard and the goals were great.

After the match we went back into the city centre for a few (many more) drinks. We went to a club, (I think it was called something like "Moves" or "Mones") and we had our Kicker scarfs on and some of the Kickers players came up to us and introduced themselves. They were the goalkeeper, right back and I think the midfielder. When we were out that night with scarfs lots of people were surprised to see Kickers scarfs.

On a side note, Stuttgart is a great city full of very friendly people with lots of places to drink till the late hours of the morning (8/9/10 in the morning :D). I hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as I did and thank you Kickers and Stuttgart for a great weekend.

Come on Kickers and hopefully Kickers will win the league.

The Irish Fans were great and you can come again when ever you want, for example on Saturday when we play against Hamburger SV from 1st league in Pokal. 8)

@ CavanBohs: Glad you had a great time. We really enjoyed having all the irish guests. They added greatly to the atmosphere in the stadium. When I came back to Schlossplatz after the game there were a couple of hundrets irish supporters singing and drinking - very impressive. Hope you got a little impression how things went during the world cup...

Thanks guys from Ireland to come to Stuttgart and especially to the Kickers game. You would really have missed something. I was standing right in between some of your friends in block B. Thanks for supporting our team !

That might have been me!

I'd like to add my thanks for the welcome we received at the Kickers game. From paying in, to the people with the programmes to the fans in Section B that didn't mind us joining in with their songs...danke schon.

As well as fans from the Bohemians football club in Dublin, there were a number of us from Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne. We all enjoyed the welcome and were impressed with the passion of the home supporters in Section B.

Good luck in the rest of the season.

Auf wiedersehen,

Soylent Green

I don't know if I can attach images but there are some photos taken at the game on our forum (you may have to register)

Many Many thanks for the warm welcome received. A very very enjoyable evening for us and a good result for you! Atmosphere was cool and had fun with your fans in Section B along with Soylent Green......... and afterback at your beer hut beside the stadium.

I cannot remember the names of the fans who brought us back into the city centre and tried to get us to go drinking wine!!!!

We ordered you all a round of beers, but you had gone when we got back from the bar.

Stay in touch, I gave one of you my e-mail address.

Both our clubs are looking to win trophies this season.

Good Luck for the season ahead!
